At BTP we are committed to recruiting talented people, to develop and nurture their skills and experience so they can achieve their full potential.
We offer a friendly, rewarding environment with flexible working and Director mentoring and support. We promote from within with two of our Directors originally joining the practice as trainees.
BTP is an equal opportunities employer and it is our policy to treat all applicants and employees in the same way.
BTP works closely with local Universities and offers Part I and Part II placements for students. We welcome applications from Graduates with an excellent academic record and a passion for design and learning. Communication and team working skills are key together with a keen interest in housing, particularly in the affordable sector.
In return you will be assigned to a Director who will provide you with continuous support and advice. You will have individual responsibility from the start with varied and hands-on project experience. Director Manuel Atkinson, who started at BTP as a Part 1 student, is a RIBA Part III Professional Studies Adviser and offers in-house support to our Graduates. All of our students receive a structured training programme including accredited external courses and regular in-house CPD seminars.
BTP has close relationships with local schools and colleges and every summer offers work experience placements to 4 students, who have an interest in pursuing a career in architecture.
We are working with Manchester School of Architecture on the RIBA Mentoring Programme, with several of our architects buddying with Undergraduates to provide on-going support.
