Architect/Architectural Technician

BTP is hiring an architect/architectural technician to join its team in Stockport, UK.

• Architect/architectural technician (Qualified, Part 2 or 3)
• Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
• Practice: BTP Architects – award-winning architectural practice<
• Position: full-time, office-based

We’re seeking a talented and motivated architect or architectural technician to join our friendly, award-winning team in Stockport. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of meaningful projects – from innovative new-build housing to complex retrofits and conservation work.

Whether you’re passionate about private homes, affordable housing, or supported living schemes, you’ll play a central role in designing spaces that make a real difference.

What you’ll do
Working across all RIBA stages, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing creative and practical design concepts
• Preparing planning applications and building regulations submissions
• Producing high-quality technical drawings and specifications
• Collaborating with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders
• Attending meetings and site visits to oversee and coordinate project delivery
• We’d love it if you have experience in building regs detailing, construction drawings, or refurbishment/re-cladding of tower blocks – though it’s not essential

About you
We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Strong design flair with solid technical understanding
• Clear communication and great teamwork skills
• A proactive, can-do attitude and a desire to grow
• The ability to manage tasks and deadlines with efficiency
• Experience with Autodesk Revit (preferred, but training can be provided)
