BTP helps revitalise Burnley Housing Landscape

BTP are delighted to share that Calico Homes’ latest housing development in Burnley is now complete, with BTP as the lead architects. Delivered in collaboration with contractor Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction, the £9.5 million Kinross Street project has revitalised the Hargher Clough area with 61 contemporary, affordable homes.

The Kinross Street estate includes a variety of two- and three-bedroom bungalows and houses, designed to meet modern housing needs. Six of the homes are available through rent-to-buy schemes, providing a valuable opportunity for first-time buyers to step onto the property ladder.

Sustainability is at the heart of the development, with the timber-framed homes “future-proofed” to meet modern environmental standards. Features include solar PV panels and electric vehicle charging points, ensuring the homes are both cost-effective and eco-friendly.

From its start in February 2022 to the final touches, this project has been a real team effort. With support from Homes England and great collaboration between everyone involved, it’s a brilliant example of how partnerships can deliver high-quality, affordable housing for local communities.
