Work starts on latest DIY SOS Big Build in Newton Heath
Work started on site today to transform run-down terrace houses in Newton Heath into a village for Army Veterans as part of the latest BBC DIY SOS Big Build.
BTP is proud to be part of the consultant team working on the project, which is the result of a collaboration between Manchester City Council, BBC DIY SOS, Adactus Housing and veteran charities, Walking with the Wounded and Haigh Housing. BTP has teamed up with key contractors Kier, ISG, Wates, Wilmott-Dixon, Rowlinsons, Keepmoat and Mears, and design lead Arcus plus supporting contractors and suppliers.
Dozens of Manchester building firms and tradesmen are helping out with the Big Build, with more help still needed from local tradesmen and builders. For further information on how you can help, please contact diysosheroes@bbc.co.uk.
