Transformation of Greenbrow Completes

We’re pleased to share that the redevelopment of Greenbrow has reached Practical Completion, transforming the former social club site into a new affordable housing development in Wythenshawe.

Acting as architects in partnership with Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, our aim was to deliver high-quality affordable accommodation, directly responding to local housing needs for families, couples and smaller households.

The scheme provides 23 homes for both social rent and shared ownership, including one- and two-bedroom apartments alongside two-, three- and four-bedroom family houses. The diverse mix of housing types considers the changing needs of the community, promoting a balanced and well-connected neighbourhood in which residents can remain throughout different stages of life.

Feedback from consultation events and neighbourhood letter drops helped shape the design, ensuring the development reflects local aspirations and addresses community concerns.

The new homes have been thoughtfully designed for modern living, with secure cycle storage and dedicated parking provision, while integrating seamlessly with existing streets and surrounding properties. Landscaping and tree retention soften the development’s streetscape, reinforcing Wythenshawe’s garden-city character and creating a natural continuation of the neighbourhood, rather than a standalone scheme.

Previously a vacant and underutilised site, Greenbrow is now a vibrant residential environment that supports Wythenshawe’s wider regeneration ambitions.
