BTP Architects Celebrates Completion of Retirement Scheme Refurbishment

BTP were delighted to attend a coffee morning this week with residents at Green & Slater Rest Homes to celebrate the recent completion of refurbishment works!

In partnership with building contractor Connolly, we've successfully upgraded and extended the 1950s retirement housing complex within the Heaton Moor conservation area to an exceptionally high standard.

The project highlights include converting the former warden's two-storey house into two separate self-contained flats and a bed-site into a one bedroom flat.  We have refurbished the office and commual areas. The complex has been re-roofed with the introduction of in-line solar panels to improve energy efficiency and reduce resident energy bills. Generally all properties have been upgraded to achieve a minimum EPC rating of C with the addition of internal wall insulation and mechanical ventilation.
