Conversion of Grade II listed cottage for private client
BTP were architects and conservation specialists on a project to restore the Grade II listed Ashworth Hall back to its former glory. Ashworth Hall is thought to date back to the 17th or 18th Centuries and forms a group of listed cottages that makes up Ashworth Fold. The property has undergone various phases of repairs over the years, lending it different layers of history.
BTP worked closely with the client and conservation officer to plan an extensive programme of repairs and remodelliing works throughout, which preserved important heritage features such as the Jacobean staircase, exposed brickwork, timber beams and ceilings, whilst providing a modern living space. We worked closely with Walker Construction, who specialse in historic building conversions of this nature.
