Delivery of 15 new affordable apartments
BTP acted as architects for the £1.8m redevelopment of the former Railway Hotel in Newton-le-Willows, transforming it into 15 new affordable homes. Working alongside contractors HMS and client Torus, the project entailed demolishing the long-vacant pub.
Despite its position within the Earlestown conservation area, BTP’s heritage specialists showcased that replacing the derelict pub with well-designed apartments, in harmony with the local vernacular, would enhance the area.
The new development, now named Railway Court, not only revitalizes the local community but also provides much-needed affordable one- and two-bedroom apartments in the town centre.
