Project Description

61 modern affordable apartments for people 55+

BTP were appointed as lead architects on a project for Torus to design and deliver 61 modern affordable apartments for aged 55 plus.

The new homes, close to Lowe House Church, are a mix one- and two-bedroom apartments split across two blocks.

Named after local philanthropists John and Winefred Gorsuch (nee Lowe), Gorsuch House and Winefred House BTP has designed the scheme to offer over 55s a modern, manageable, more streamlined home together with access to a communal lounge where residents can socialise.

The scheme offers a standard and quality of new housing that is the benchmark for future developments in the post-COVID environment.
