Malcolm Knight joins AABC Conservation Register
Congratulations to BTP Director, Malcolm Knight who has recently been accepted onto the AABC register for architects accredited in building conservation.
Malcolm joins Associate Director, Rob Harrington, as the practice’s second AABC Conservation Architect and Director Vicky Saunders who recently joined the RIBA Conservation Register. This accreditation recognises Malcolm’s track record for conservation work to listed churches, almshouses and educational buildings and enables him to lead English Heritage and Heritage Lottery Fund grant aided projects on historic and listed buildings.
To be accepted on the AABC register, Architects are rigorously assessed on their individual knowledge and experience in conservation work. Assessment is by peers in a team which also includes a knowledgeable non-architect to ensure an element of public participation. In addition membership of the register must be renewed every five years to ensure continued learning and standards.
Malcolm has also recently been included on RIBA's Register of Conservation Architects.
