BTP sweeps the board with tender wins

Award-winning architects BTP is set for substantial growth after being appointed to a series of high-profile frameworks and winning new contracts to deliver homes across the North West.

The work will see BTP appointed for a variety of projects including social housing, urban regeneration, refurbishments, heritage building conversions and self-builds.

BTP’s successes include reappointment to:

  • The prestigious £750 million Innovation Chain North Housing Framework run by Great Places Housing Group, winning architectural and principal designer lots in the North-West and North-East regions.
  • The £120 million Fusion21 Consultants Framework, where BTP was successful in both the architectural and heritage lots.
  • The architectural panel of the £560 million JV North Housebuilding Framework. BTP will contribute to building 4,000 new homes, working with members such as Stockport and Bury local authorities and Weaver Vale Housing Trust.
  • The architectural lot of the prestigious Cutting Edge residential framework, which has an estimated total construction value of £625 million. Operating across the North of England, Cutting Edge brings together eight housing associations.

They have also confirmed that they are one of the practices selected in the North of England joining The Guinness Partnership Architects Framework, which is a national framework.The Guinness development programme will see 5,500 homes completed by March 2025, including 5,000 affordable homes under its Strategic Partnerships.

BTP will also form part of the £25 million construction consultancy framework launched by Liverpool-based housing association Torus after coming top in the architecture lot.

The architect has also been appointed by Kirklees Council as architectural partner to deliver a pipeline of new council housing sites. It will also collaborate with Pearl Together, which is a partnership between Pendle Council, Together Housing Trust and Barnfield Construction with an aim to widen the choice of housing in the borough.

Lastly, BTP will be working with Cobalt Housing to develop a 70+ unit new extra care facility in Liverpool.

The Stockport-based architects is going from strength to strength – their success this year comes on the back of the appointment of five new members of staff at the start of the year.
