Andy Wan
BA (Hons), M.Arch
I joined BTP as an architect in February 2021 after working for a large commercial practice in Manchester for 8 years. My prior professional background includes work on master-planning and large residential and commercial projects spanning the UK. Alongside this I have worked in Singapore and was involved with projects around Asia including a Monastic School in India and large masterplans in China.
During my time at BTP I have been gaining in-depth knowledge and experience of Conservation and refurbishment projects across the country, must recently working on a refurbishment of a listed building to apartments in Holyhead, Anglesey. I have also gained experience of existing recladding work, having worked on tower recladding projects around Greater Manchester.
I am a Certified Passivhaus Designer with a focus on refurbishment and sustainability and have a keen interest in how we can live sustainably whilst minimising the impact on the environment.
Outside of work, I love to cook; particularly as I spent my formative years working as a chef in a family restaurant. I am also a qualified drone pilot and like to travel as much as possible. I also enjoy taking the drone with me on hikes across the world, which recently included the Dolomites and Norway Fjords. My other hobbies include running, music, and keeping up with the latest tech trends.
